Job Description
- Plan and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on production forecasts, customer orders, and open orders.
- Establish and optimize manufacturing sequences according to product characteristics, production requirements, and available capacity.
- Analyze and evaluate demand plans and delivery requirements to ensure customer needs are met while considering production capacity, manpower, equipment, and material availability.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to planned timelines, production requirements, and committed delivery dates.
- Review and adjust production plans in response to changes in customer demand, material availability, production capacity, machine breakdowns, and other unforeseen conditions.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
- Liaise with the Procurement team on raw materials and packaging materials, including raising/opening purchase requisitions and coordinating material delivery schedules.
- Monitor material availability and ensure required materials are received according to the production schedule.
- Identify potential production constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain and update production planning data in SAP and other planning systems.
- Prepare and analyze production planning reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, capacity utilization, inventory levels, and on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure planning activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant operational requirements.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 2 years of relevant experience in production planning/manufacturing is an advantage.
- Good understanding of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 ECC or SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI and PowerPoint is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
