Position Summary
- Plan production lines, supply of materials and/or trading goods timely, accurately and effectively
- Ensure market forecast is aligned to plan
- Ensure availability of raw materials and align to machine capacity
- Support running-in demands of promotion projects
You will play an essential role to
- Plan and realize optimized production plan based on latest forecast, stock, and raw material availability.
- Prioritize finished goods supply demands within latest production plan.
- Ensure up to date market forecast.
- Communicate planning changes within production or with markets.
- Evaluate and attune production plan progress regularly with Production Business Units.
- Plan and purchase trading goods and materials, whichever applicable, based on stock, specification, and supply plan
- Gather mid- and long-term information about market trends, production capacity e.g., holiday and project plans.
- Responsible for using information received from commercial teams, capacity and inventory forecast process to prepare the monthly production plan and schedule. This includes providing a scheduling outlook for 3 months.
- Work closely with various departments and suppliers to ensure on-time availability of materials & trading items and timely execution of production plan to meet business needs
- Work closely with our business partners and logistic parties involved to resolve short shipment/ late delivery exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
- Responsible for reporting actual daily finished goods output vs plan. This is to ensure that the schedule is on track to plan.
- Responsible for communicating changes of the production schedule to the production teams during their daily operational
To be successful in this role, you will need to have
- At least a diploma holder. A bachelor's degree would be advantageous
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment with scope in production planning and purchase order processing.
- Working experience in import / export shipment knowledge, customs procedures and regulations is an added advantage
- Working experience with any integrated ERP/ MRP system would be an advantage
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Proficient in business writing skills
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint. Oracle would be an added advantage
- Organized, process-orientated and the ability to work independently
- Able to do timely and detailed planning with accuracy vs forecast requirement
- Prioritization of works dependent on urgency and importance
