Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading end-to-end supply planning activities to ensure optimal product availability while balancing inventory investment, operational efficiency, and customer service levels. This role oversees demand forecasting, supply and replenishment planning, inventory optimization, production planning, and logistics coordination to support business growth across domestic and international markets.
Working closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and manufacturing partners, the Supply Planning Manager drives Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), monitors planning performance, identifies supply risks, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy, inventory health, and overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Develop and execute supply and replenishment plans based on the approved demand forecast.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to align production schedules, lead times, and manufacturing capacity.
- Manage purchase planning and replenishment to support business demand and new product launches.
- Monitor inventory health, including safety stock, Slow Moving & Obsolete (SLOB), and Near Expiry (NE), to implement improvement initiatives to optimize inventory performance.
- Coordinate inbound shipment planning and warehouse capacity to ensure efficient product distribution.
- Partner with Demand Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and suppliers to ensure supply plans support business requirements.
- Proactively identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize business disruption.
- Lead Supply Review meetings and communicate supply constraints, inventory risks, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to improve supply planning processes, inventory optimization, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, or Procurement within the FMCG or Consumer Goods industry.
- Experience working with manufacturers, third-party logistics (3PL), and cross-functional stakeholders is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supply planning, inventory management, replenishment planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
