Develop and drive the Group's Sustainability Strategy, ESG roadmap, and Net Zero initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Establish sustainability governance, policies, reporting frameworks, and ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia requirements and global ESG standards (GRI, ISSB, TCFD, etc.).
Lead sustainability initiatives focusing on carbon reduction, energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, circular economy, and resource optimisation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability improvement projects and responsible sourcing practices.
Oversee ESG data collection, carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2 & 3), sustainability reporting, and monitor progress towards decarbonisation targets.
Prepare Sustainability Reports and ESG disclosures for management, investors, regulators, and customers.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, coordinate sustainability audits, certifications, and ESG assessments (including EcoVadis).
Conduct sustainability risk assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, customers, investors, regulators, and certification bodies on sustainability matters.
Foster a culture of sustainability through employee engagement, training, and awareness programmes across the organisation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of working experience, with 5–10 years in Sustainability, ESG, Compliance, or related functions. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting standards such as GRI, ISSB, TCFD, with EcoVadis experience being an added advantage.
Experience in ESG audits, third-party assessments, carbon accounting, and decarbonisation initiatives.
Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and presentation skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
