Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cyberjaya for a System Engineer. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of hardware, software, and systems. Coordination with cross-functional teams, participation in system upgrades, and ensuring compliance with security protocols are also key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in system engineering, infrastructure architecture, or cloud engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID architecture.
- Experience with automation, scripting (Shell, PowerShell), or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong understanding of high availability, DR design, and infrastructure security principles.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

- Cloud architecture certifications
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure architecture across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Lead capacity planning, high-availability design, and performance engineering initiatives.
- Define infrastructure standards, system configurations, and technical governance policies.
- Architect and oversee disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies, including periodic testing.
- Establish automation standards to reduce manual intervention and operational risk.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using ITIL-aligned practices and Agile methodologies.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to design and enforce infrastructure security controls.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to System Administrators and IT operations staff.
- Review infrastructure KPIs and drive performance improvements.
