System engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the system architecture for NVL72 racks, including tray placement, interconnect topology, and power/cooling alignment.
• Oversee and support senior operators in rack assembly, tray installation, cable routing, and firmware integration.
• Collaborate with suppliers and OEM partners to ensure module compatibility and proper system integration.
• Support burn-in testing and firmware validation at the system level, ensuring stability, reliability, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/firmware integration issues, escalating to vendors where required.
• Document system configuration, integration steps, and validation procedures.
• Provide technical feedback to NPI and Quality Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development of system-level SOPs and training material for operators.
• Assist in building long-term capability for in-house rack design, preparing processes and standards for future system architecture expansion.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience:

• Minimum 35 years in system integration, server/rack design, or data center hardware engineering.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of rack-level architecture, including compute, networking, power, and cooling systems.
• Experience in firmware/BIOS integration and system-level testing.
• Familiarity with NVL72 or equivalent hyperscale rack systems (preferred).
• Ability to work hands-on with operators while guiding system-level architecture decisions.
• Proficiency with documentation, system diagrams, and technical reporting.
