Key Responsibilities:
As an OSS System Engineer, you will be responsible for the health, maintenance, and automation of our core internal and Operation Support Systems (OSS). Your primary duties include:
- System Administration: Perform administration and monitoring of internal IT systems, including servers, storage, private cloud platforms, and databases.
- OSS Support: Support the maintenance and updates of key OSS platforms, such as network monitoring, inventory, and automation systems.
- Automation & Scripting: Proactively help automate simple, routine tasks across internal platforms using scripting languages and automation tools like RPA, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Basic Development: Assist with coding or scripting for data extraction and fundamental system integration tasks.
- Reliability: Monitor system health alerts and ensure the smooth, reliable operation of all internal platforms.
- User Support & On-Call: Handle basic user requests for data extraction and automation support, and provide 7x24 on-call standby and L1 & L2 support for internal systems.
- Infrastructure Support: Support virtual machine provisioning, backups, and simple server maintenance tasks for internal users.
What You'll Bring:
We're looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow their technical expertise.
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of working experience, with exposure to the telecommunication domain being a strong asset.
- Technical Proficiency is a Must: Competency in Linux administration, shell scripting, PHP, Python, and SQL.
- Core Skill:Strong troubleshooting skill is essential for success in this role.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work after office hours and be available for on-call standby during weekends.
- Attitude: Open-minded, willing to learn new technologies, highly independent, and capable of handling a wide range of assignments with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Skills (A Plus):
- Experience in server/storage hardware configuration or maintenance.
- Knowledge of OSS systems and network management principles.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Openstack, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
