The Systems Analyst provides end-to-end technical and solution analysis and support by assessing technology and system capabilities, identifying and delivering effective technology solutions for the business. The role is responsible for translating business needs into functional and system specifications, supporting solution design, and ensuring applications and technology solutions meet business, integration, aligned with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
The role acts as a key liaison and bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and IT governance functions, ensuring requirements are accurately defined, solutions are aligned with business objectives, and technology capabilities deliver sustainable business value and operational efficiency.
The role also supports business and technology-related implementation initiatives, while contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise systems and processes.
Job Requirement
- Conduct business and systems analysis to understand current‑state processes, systems, and pain points, and to define future‑state requirements aligned with business objectives
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non‑functional requirements, ensuring traceability from business needs to system designs
- Assess existing applications, processes, and system workflows to identify major improvement opportunities with ROI reporting.
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, facilitating clear communication across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance domains
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture and IT teams to ensure proposed solutions aligning with architectural standards, technology roadmaps, and enterprise principles
- Engage the infrastructure and cybersecurity team, and the Compliance and Risk division, early in initiatives to incorporate security, resilience, and compliance requirements into solution designs
- Support impact assessments, feasibility studies, and solution options analysis for improvement initiatives and investment proposals
- Prepare and maintain requirements documentation, functional specifications, process models, and other analysis artefacts throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Coordinate and support testing activities, including test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and requirements traceability to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Assist in defining transition states, dependencies, and risks to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption to business and IT operations
- Participate in governance forums, reviews, and approval processes, ensuring that required documentation and analysis are complete and accurate
- Support change initiatives through documentation, stakeholder coordination, and clarification of requirements during delivery and implementation
- Promote reuse of existing platforms, shared services, and IT capabilities to optimize cost, reduce complexity, and maintain enterprise alignment
- Monitor application performance, system issues, and user feedback to recommend corrective actions, system enhancements, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure solutions comply with technology standards, governance requirements, security controls, and applicable regulatory obligations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in systems analysis, application delivery, business systems analysis, or technology transformation initiatives, including at least 3 years in a lead analyst or senior analyst capacity; OR
- Diploma in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, application delivery, business systems analysis, or technology transformation initiatives
Preferred Experience
- Experience in delivering application enhancement, system integration, digital transformation, or technology modernization initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, project teams, architects, developers, and technology vendors.
- Familiarity with requirements management, process modelling, testing, and system implementation methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial services and takaful/insurance ecosystems and regulatory matters is an added advantage
- Experience within the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent business and systems analysis certifications is an added advantage
