Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to champion the Sekoia SOC platform across Southeast Asia and broader APAC region. Based in Malaysia, you'll partner with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and enterprise customers to drive technical sales success — from solution design to proof-of-concept delivery — ensuring Sekoia.io SOC platform becomes a trusted cornerstone in our customers security operations.

This is a regional role that blends deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement skills. You'll act as a trusted advisor, helping customers enhance their SOC (Security Operations Center) capabilities and accelerate their security operations delivery with Sekoia.io

Your Missions :

  • Technical Sales Leadership: Lead technical engagements, including demos, presentations, workshops, and architecture discussions for the Sekoia.io SOC platform.
  • RFP/RFI Ownership: Manage and deliver high-quality responses to complex RFPs and RFIs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and Sekoia.io's strengths.
  • Proof of Concept (POC): Design, scope, and execute POCs to showcase Sekoia.io value in real-world environments.
  • SOC Enablement: Guide customers and MSSPs in building advanced detection, response, and automation capabilities using Sekoia.io.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to design scalable, integrated security architectures around Sekoia.io.
  • Regional Collaboration: Support sales teams and customers across APAC, with occasional travel throughout the region.
  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the technical voice of the customer, ensuring feedback and insights inform future product innovation.

The position can be based in Malaysia fully remote, with a regional coverage on Asia Pacific & Australia. Professional trips paid for by the company might be required.

Your profile :

Experience

  • Proven experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or sales engineering roles within cybersecurity.
  • Deep understanding of SOC operations, SIEM/SOAR technologies, and modern security practices.
  • Track record of leading technical evaluations and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Experience conducting POCs, pilots, and product evaluations.
  • Knowledge of threat detection and response frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
  • Background working with MSSPs or large enterprise SOCs.

Technical Skills

  • Strong grasp of SOC workflows, incident response, and threat hunting.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, and security analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud, endpoint, and network security fundamentals.
  • Ability to design integrated security solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Soft Skills & Languages

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), French is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one regional language (Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia or similar) preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills — able to translate technical depth into business impact.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently across multiple time zones.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40–50% across the APAC region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, vendor-specific certs).
  • Experience selling or implementing cybersecurity solutions across APAC markets.
  • Established network within regional MSSPs or enterprise security teams.
  • Hands-on familiarity with security automation and orchestration tools.
