Role Description This is a full-time Takaful Consultant role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Takaful Consultant will identify and approach prospective clients, conduct needs analyses, and recommend suitable Takaful plans that align with clients financial goals and risk profiles. Daily responsibilities include meeting clients in person and virtually, presenting product options, preparing quotations and proposals, and guiding clients through the application and onboarding process. The role also involves maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients, reviewing coverage periodically, providing after-sales service, and assisting with claims support when needed. The Takaful Consultant will collaborate with internal teams, attend training and product briefings, and stay updated on industry regulations and Shariah-compliant practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong client advisory, relationship-building, and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
  • Solid sales, negotiation, and presentation abilities, including comfort with prospecting, follow-up, and closing in a structured and ethical manner.
  • Basic financial literacy and understanding of risk management, protection planning, and Takaful or insurance concepts (training will be provided).
  • Good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage appointments, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms (e.g., email, video conferencing, CRM systems, and basic office applications) to support hybrid work.
  • Minimum of a diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to Shariah-compliant practices and ethical selling standards.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Malay and/or additional languages is an advantage for engaging a broader client base.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain any required industry licenses or certifications as per local regulatory requirements.
