The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical, strategic role in driving end-to-end talent acquisition across the Southeast Asia region (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam). Operating in alignment with the Mars Five Principles, the incumbent acts as a trusted talent advisor to senior stakeholders, steering high-impact hiring initiatives, managing complex and confidential searches, and optimizing recruitment agency performance.
Beyond delivery, this role serves as the analytical engine for the regional talent acquisition team—harnessing market mapping, digital talent marketing, and talent analytics to provide stakeholders with actionable data insights that influence key business decisions and proactively build robust talent pipelines for critical future skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the end-to-end recruitment process for roles across Southeast Asia. This includes sourcing, screening, arranging interviews and offer management for junior, mid and senior level roles as well as internship hiring
- Drive operational efficiency to consistently meet and exceed core talent acquisition performance metrics including Time-to-Fill and Cost-per-Hire
- Drive market mapping and competitive intelligence gathering across key SEA sectors to identify emerging talent trends to build robust, diverse pipelines of high-caliber talent
- Survey the talent market and collaborate with the recruitment team to develop innovative sourcing solutions that address emerging talent acquisition needs
- Act as the primary point of contact for external recruitment agencies, managing partnerships, negotiating terms, and evaluating performance against strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Compile, analyze, and present data and key performance indicators (such as Time-to-Fill and Source-of-Hire) to stakeholders, turning raw data into strategic insights.
- Develop new and innovative programs to source talent ahead of vacancies with the aim of lowering time to fill metrics
- Serve as a consultative talent acquisition partner to P&O Business Partners, Line Managers, and Segment Leaders to define profile requirements, align on expectations, and deliver exceptional hiring experiences
- Empower line managers with advisory on interviewing best practices, market realities, candidate assessment strategies, and competitive offer formulation
- Form collaborations with universities to build early talent pool
- Manage programs that support sourcing channels in the region (for example: Mars Associate Referral Program, Mars Alumni Network, and the Preferred Vendor Program)
- Involved in any other assigned projects/ tasks
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field
- At least 5 years of recruitment experience within the FMCG space. Candidates with experience in recruitment/executive search agencies are preferred
- Regional experience in multiple SEA markets will be preferred
- Comfortable working in a highly matrix environment
- Experienced with Excel, PowerBI and web-based search platforms
- Experienced in sourcing for diverse skill sets in a fast-paced environment and diversity markets.
