Tax Associate

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Associate based in Johore, Malaysia. The Tax Associate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, managing tax computations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves conducting tax research, advising clients on tax strategies, managing tax audit processes, and staying updated on changes in tax regulations. Collaboration with internal teams and clients to support their tax activities will also be a key aspect of this position.

• Strong knowledge of tax laws, tax preparation, and tax compliance
• Proficiency in financial reporting, auditing, and accounting principles
• Analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed tax research and problem-solving
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client advisory and collaboration
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Related work experience or internships in taxation or accounting are highly beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage
