Job Vacancy: Tax Expert Assistant Manager / Manager

  • Location: Pudu, Kuala Lumpur
  • Salary: RM7,000 RM13,000 (Negotiable)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Expert to manage a portfolio of clients and lead a team in delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for tax research, stay updated on legislation, and provide technical guidance to both clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients and projects, leading teams to deliver effective tax advisory services.
  • Provide support in corporate tax planning, audits, and investigations.
  • Analyze and interpret developments in direct and indirect tax legislation (e.g., Income Tax, SST).
  • Prepare technical write-ups, circulars, and advisory updates for clients.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing materials for tax webinars, training sessions, and client briefings.
  • Provide in-depth technical advice to internal staff and clients on tax-related issues.
  • Liaise with authorities such as the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD).
  • Continuously monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and timely communication.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to team members to support their growth.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (Taxation major preferred).
  • Professional qualifications such as CTIM, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • 512 years of experience in a tax/accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian tax rules, practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability in conducting tax research and delivering practical solutions.
  • Experience in managing client portfolios and providing tax advisory services.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
