Tax Supervisor (Penang)

Job Summary:

YYC is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Tax Supervisor to support the team in delivering timely, high-quality tax services while guiding junior staff and assisting in managing client relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalize tax computations and submissions within the assigned deadlines.
• Manage CP204 and CP204A submissions for premium clients, including providing necessary tax planning advice.
• Review and ensure timely submission of CP204 and CP204A by junior team members.
• Review tax computations for dormant and small entities prepared by junior staff.
• Ensure all tax correspondences are addressed promptly by the team.
• Handle IRB correspondences efficiently within the required timeframe.
• Resolve both technical and non-technical tax matters in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all tax deadlines and statutory requirements.
• Respond to client tax enquiries and clearly explain tax computations when needed.
• Assist and collaborate with team members to meet shared deadlines and goals.
• Lead and communicate effectively within the team and across business units to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee proper filing and organization of all tax documents and records.
• Participate in client meetings and discussions with the Tax Manager as required.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a degree in Accounting and Finance with major in Taxation and/or professional qualification in ACCA or its equivalent.
• Have at least 3 years of experience with strong tax knowledge.
• Good interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people.
• Ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationship with colleagues.
• Innovative and critical thinking to resolve problems.
• Proficiency in English is required. Added advantage for candidates fluent in Mandarin.
