About CMA CGM FICOM (Finance Corporate Office Malaysia)

Located at Wisma Consplant 2, Subang Jaya, FICOM is the extended team of the Finance Corporate Division of the CMA CGM Group. It serves as the Finance Expertise Center, delivering non-transactional, value-added functions to support the Group's transformation and drive financial performance for key stakeholders.

Brief Description

This position is primarily responsible for performing and overseeing the credit evaluation and review activities for customers, including new applications and renewal assessments within established turnaround timelines. The role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, reviewing and recommending credit limits, and ensuring all credit risk activities are conducted in compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards. In addition, the position supports team development, process improvements, system enhancement initiatives, and stakeholder engagement to ensure operational efficiency and effective risk control.

Key Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Analyze customer financial profiles and creditworthiness, identify related risk exposures across various industries, and recommend appropriate credit limits with supporting justifications for management approval while ensuring accurate updates in the credit system.
  • Perform new credit application and annual credit reviews for expired credit accounts across the Group and maintain accurate customer credit information and documentation.
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and provide guidance to the credit analyst team to ensure timely and accurate completion of credit assessments and reviews while supporting team development and technical competency.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, automation projects, system enhancements, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to improve workflow efficiency, strengthen risk controls, and ensure business requirements are met prior to deployment.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Identify potential risks within procurement activities and support effective decision-making and risk mitigation throughout procurement risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide support and address enquiries relating to credit processes, policies, and operational matters.
  • Participate in monthly Regional Credit Management meetings and support discussions with manager on credit-related matters.
  • Prepare periodic reports and analysis, including strategic accounts reporting, for management review.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to management to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Draft and prepare credit agreements in accordance with country-specific regulations to ensure compliance with legal standards and safeguard the company's interests in financial transactions.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years and above related working experience is preferred
  • Candidates with credit experience relating to credit processing and credit analysis environment would have an added advantage
  • Good in interpersonal and problem-solving skill
  • Resilient and able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Able to analyze full financial statement to assess the financial profile of a company
  • Strong leadership skills and able to provide consistent guidance to younger team members in daily operations
  • Able to learn and acquire credit skills quickly to handle more complex deals
  • Possess growth mindset, innovation & agile. Always looking for ways to improve
  • Good team player who is dynamic and result-oriented
