Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to join the engineering team and drive the successful delivery of scalable web applications.

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a solid track record in managing software production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Leadership
  • Lead and manage engineering teams including developers, QA, and DevOps
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development support
  • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous learning
  • Technical Execution
  • Execute the technical roadmap in alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure application scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and deployment
  • Architecture Implementation
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO on system architecture and technical strategy
  • Lead the implementation of scalable and high-performance web applications
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and decision-making support
  • Project & Delivery Management
  • Work with product managers and stakeholders to define priorities and timelines
  • Manage resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Improve engineering processes, tools, and workflows
  • Drive efficiency in development lifecycle and team productivity
  • Team Growth & Development
  • Support hiring and retention of top engineering talent
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop training initiatives to upskill the engineering team
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Communicate progress, timelines, and technical decisions to stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between engineering execution and business needs

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years in software engineering, with experience managing production environments
  • Proven experience in leading and scaling engineering teams

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Vue.js)
    • Cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
    • Microservices architecture
    • Database systems (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Solid understanding of scalable web application development
Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in complex technical environments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience in SaaS or product-based environments
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience building high-performance and scalable systems
  • Track record of delivering multiple large-scale projects
