Tech Obsolescence Developer (Control-M automation and CMDB tools are mandatory )

Project Description:

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to support monitoring and reporting functions.

Work extensively with Control-M for job scheduling, monitoring, and workflow automation.

Maintain and enhance CMDB (Configuration Management Database) for accurate asset and dependency tracking.

Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell to streamline data collection and report generation.

Extract, transform, and analyze data from Oracle, MSSQL, or MySQL databases for dashboarding and reports.

Ensure timely monitoring of tech obsolescence data, system performance metrics, and configuration compliance.

Troubleshoot job failures, monitor logs, and ensure smooth operations of scheduled tasks.

Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to implement proactive monitoring solutions.

Document automation processes, scripts, and standard operating procedures.

Mandatory Skills Description:

3-5 years of hands-on experience in monitoring, automation, and reporting roles.

Strong experience with Control-M automation and CMDB tools (mandatory).

Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation and reporting.

Working knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, or MySQL databases (queries, joins, procedures).

Good understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.

Experience with tech obsolescence monitoring or infrastructure reporting preferred.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and documentation abilities.
