About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Web3 Technical Architect to join our engineering leadership team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, designing robust decentralized architectures and leading the development of smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain integrations. You will be the blueprint-maker for our Web3 initiatives, ensuring that every system we deploy is secure, scalable, and compliant with the latest industry standards. Professional-level fluency in both English and Chinese is a mandatory requirement to effectively collaborate with our regional engineering teams and international clients.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the end-to-end implementation of decentralized applications (dApps), including smart contract structures, state management, and off-chain data integration.
- Protocol & Ecosystem Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain protocols (L1s/L2s) and storage solutions (IPFS, Arweave) based on project-specific scalability, cost, and security needs.
- Smart Contract Engineering: Lead the development, testing, and deployment of secure smart contracts using Solidity or Rust.
- Hybrid Integration: Design seamless, secure bridges between traditional Web2 backends (Node.js, Go, or Python) and Web3 infrastructure.
- Security & Auditing: Champion a Security-First approach; implement best practices for smart contract security, conduct internal code reviews, and coordinate with world-class external auditors.
- Mentorship & Best Practices: Act as a technical beacon for the engineering team, mentoring junior developers on complex concepts like ZK-proofs, Account Abstraction, and Oracles.
- R&D Innovation: Stay at the bleeding edge of Web3 (e.g., EIP standards, zkVMs, cross-chain interoperability) and propose strategic ways to integrate these innovations into the Techtanium roadmap.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven track record of deploying successful Web3 products in a production environment.
Skills Required
- Blockchain & Smart Contracts
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 2+ years dedicated to Web3/Blockchain.
- Languages: Expert proficiency in Solidity (EVM) or Rust (Solana/Polkadot/Cosmos).
- Standards: Deep understanding of the EVM and common standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-4337).
- Frameworks: Mastery of development frameworks such as Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle.
- Infrastructure & Integration
- Libraries: Experience with Web3 libraries like Ethers.js, Web3.js, or Viem.
- Middleware: Familiarity with indexing protocols (The Graph) and decentralized oracles (Chainlink).
- Scaling: Deep knowledge of Layer 2 solutions (Optimism, Arbitrum, ZK-Rollups).
- Backend & Cryptography
- Backend: Strong background in Node.js, Golang, or Java.
- Fundamentals: Solid understanding of cryptographic primitives (asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and Merkle trees).
- Advanced Tech: Hands-on experience or theoretical knowledge of Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) and their practical applications.
- DevOps & Security
- Storage: Knowledge of decentralized storage solutions (IPFS, Filecoin).
- Pipeline: Experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Audit Tools: Proficiency with security tools like Slither, Mythril, or Echidna.
Skills Preferred
- Direct experience in Fintech or Core Banking transformations.
- Active contributions to open-source Web3 projects or protocols.
- A deep understanding of Tokenomics and DeFi protocol mechanisms (AMMs, Yield Farming, etc.).
