The Opportunity
A key role in driving the success of our KL technology hub by bridging business needs and technical delivery. As a Technical BA, you'll work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and architects to conceptualise, document, and deliver innovative software solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Work with UK based and Malaysia based teams to understand, analyse, and prioritise business and technical requirements.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data flow diagrams and technical specifications.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with architects and engineers to conceptualise and validate software solutions that meet business objectives.
- Development Support: Work within delivery teams to refine backlogs, clarify requirements, and ensure solutions align with business goals.
- System Integration: Ensure new and existing software integrates seamlessly, considering data flows, APIs and technical dependencies.
- Data & Cloud Focus: Operate confidently in data-driven and cloud environments, supporting data migration, transformation and automation initiatives.
- Automation Awareness: Identify opportunities for process automation and support the adoption of automation tools and practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating effective communication.
- AI & LLM Understanding: Have an awareness of AI, large language models and their potential applications within the business.
- Agile Delivery: Champion agile methodologies, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Support UAT and system testing by defining test cases and acceptance criteria and ensuring traceability from requirements to delivery.
- Change Management: Assist in the transition of new solutions into business-as-usual operations, including training and support documentation.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Understanding of API documentation and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration.
- Advanced use of agile project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Strong grasp of system logic, technical dependencies, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and other structured data formats.
- Experience creating and interpreting data flow diagrams and process maps.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data architectures.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
