Job Description

BJAK is building for regional scale, including the UK - a complex, competitive and highly regulated insurance market. This requires stronger systems across comparison, insurer integrations, customer journeys, compliance workflows, payments and operations.

We are looking for a Technical Lead who can help build the platform foundation for UK and multi-country expansion.

The Mission

Lead technical delivery for regional expansion systems, starting with high-impact platform work for the UK market.

What You'll Own

  • Lead technical delivery for UK and regional platform projects.
  • Build systems for insurance comparison, customer flows and operational workflows.
  • Support insurer integrations, payments, renewals and service workflows.
  • Work with product, operations, business and engineering teams.
  • Guide backend, frontend, QA and DevOps execution.
  • Identify technical risks early and fix root causes.
  • Build reusable systems that can support multiple markets.

  • Strong software engineering experience in production systems.
  • Able to lead complex technical projects with unclear requirements.
  • Good judgment on architecture, integrations and delivery risk.
  • Comfortable with regulated or operationally complex products.
  • Clear communicator across technical and business teams.
  • Calm under pressure and practical with trade-offs.
  • Low ego, high ownership and long-term builder mindset.

Interview Process
