Job Summary
The Technical Manager Electrical is responsible for providing expert technical leadership in electrical system design, coordination, and compliance across projects. The role supports design development, authority approvals, site troubleshooting, and project delivery while ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, industry standards, and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical support and guidance for electrical system design, implementation, and compliance.
- Review, validate, and coordinate electrical drawings, schematics, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and technical specifications.
- Liaise with consultants, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), and other relevant authorities on technical matters, submissions, and approvals.
- Support electrical design development and carry out value engineering (VE) initiatives to optimize system performance, constructability, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, technical documentation, method statements, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical support to site teams in troubleshooting, resolving electrical installation issues, and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable electrical codes, statutory requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Participate in inspections, testing & commissioning (T&C), and preparation of project handover documentation.
- Support tender preparation, technical clarifications, and evaluation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Top Management from time to time.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in electrical system design, technical coordination
