Purpose
The Technical Operator will be responsible for performing basic mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring components are correctly fitted, aligned, and secured according to specifications. This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical parts and components using hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, kitting WI and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inspect assembled units for accuracy, alignment, and quality compliance.
- Perform minor adjustments or rework to meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Report defects, shortages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and use PPE appropriately.
- Perform other manufacturing-related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production operations.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to use simple hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers).
- Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings or instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
