Summary: Responsible for consistent, high-quality application of coating systems through site inspections, technical support, and proper product usage. This role is critical in delivering performance in line with Jotun's technical data sheets and customer expectations.
This role will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor and reporting to Technical Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Guide applicators on proper paint and coating techniques to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards.
- Carry out onsite inspections and testing to verify surface preparation and coating quality.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure the right products and quantities are delivered on time.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Investigate product or site issues, coordinate with QC and production teams, and implement effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Recommend suitable coating systems and application methods based on site conditions.
- Handle site complaints professionally and propose corrective actions.
- Conduct hands-on training for painters and applicators to improve skills and consistency.
- Organize and deliver technical presentations and training sessions for customers.
- Ensure all warranty-related projects meet strict application and inspection requirements.
Qualification:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Coatings Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in site supervision or technical service.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Good communication skills and problem solver.
- Willingness to travel and meet customers at construction sites.
