Technician, Domestic Waste

JOB PURPOSE

• Assist in monitoring site services such as yard cleaning, landscaping, pest control, plumbing, office and site toilet cleaning, waste disposal, desilting, desludging, and stray dog population control.
• Conduct quality inspections and assess contractor performance to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Plan and schedule regular site surveillance to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and service effectiveness.
• Educate site manpower on basic work quality requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
• Handle and report site accidents in accordance with established accident management procedures.
• Maintain records of landscaping, pest control, plumbing materials, and cleaning schedules.
• Provide support for MMHE events and related site activities.
• Manage and distribute cleaning materials.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforce & monitor implementation of HSE plan and initiatives to create a safe, healthy and conducive work environment that encourages continuous improvement in safety standards.
• Maintain & monitor people development with proper and necessary training to ensure resources continuation and compliance with standard and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain good work relations with all related disciplines in the project team, clients, authorities, vendors, subcontractors and workers with the objective to deliver products and services that meet customer's satisfaction.
• Enforce and monitor initiatives and enhancement in procedures, process system, cost optimization, assets and resources by adopting industry best practices.
• Enforce and monitor MMHE's assets cost effectively through planned maintenance schedule to ensure assets are available, functional and reliable. Identify and implement corrective measures to rectify any assets shortcomings.
• Provide and maintain reliable services with effective assets and resources utilizations to projects/service units to ensure projects deliverables are met, within budget and in compliance with industry standards/regulations.
• Enforce and monitor quality plan, campaigns, processes and procedures to create awareness and ensure compliance to approved processes and procedures of the company.
• Enforce and monitor implementation of compliance in all word activities to ensure compliance with Company, Government and relevant authorities regulations.
• Prioritize daily maintenance tasks based on urgency and resource availability.
• Recommend minor process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assesses and recommended major plumbing repairs and pipe replacement to prevent operational disruptions.
• Recommended scop and scheduling for septic tank desludging, drainage desilting and large- scale waste disposal.

REQUIREMENTS

• SPM/Certificate in Environmental, Waste Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in housekeeping, waste collection or yard maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or shipyard waste handling.
