Overview

Job Description

  • To ensure high reliability and effectiveness of all functions and operations activities of plant control system and instrumentation including troubleshooting, modification, repairs and ensure the effective running of the Engineering Control & Instrumentation team.
  • Assist in enforcing the company rules & regulations, implementation of ISO 9001/GMO requirements and safety & health practices.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance, inspection, tuning, alignment, troubleshooting, improvement, installation, and testing of GSR, ASM, glove puller, CDS, vision systems, APM, PLC, sensors, and other automation systems.
  • Perform daily checklists, inspections, and plant maintenance to ensure all automation systems function properly and breakdowns are attended promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement, Kaizen activities, and system optimization to achieve OEE, CSI, breakdown time, and rejection rate targets.
  • Assist in troubleshooting control & instrumentation equipment across production lines, utilities, compounding, and machinery.
  • Learn and apply operational knowledge of automation systems, control systems, and instrumentation while following quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepare reports on repairs, manpower needs, spare parts, costs, and update maintenance checklists, shift reports, and duty rosters.
  • Support supervisors by covering duties during emergencies, conducting technician skill training, and assisting other plant maintenance when required.
  • Manage tools, equipment, spare parts usage, and ensure costs remain within the allocated budget.
  • Practice teamwork, 5S, health and safety standards, and comply with company rules, policies, and regulations at all times.
  • Be ready for on-call duty, shift work, and perform any additional tasks or projects assigned by superiors within the job scope.

Requirements

Education:

  • Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical, Control Instrumentation, Mechatronic Engineering or Equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year working with Control and instrumentation. However, fresh graduate with good attitude and initiative shall be considered.
  • Knowledge on basic wiring and sensor and mechanical part installation
  • Knowledge on PLC (Siemens, Fatek)

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

  • Good troubleshooting skills on PLC & instrumentation
  • Good in computer skills
  • Able to understand wiring/loop drawings
  • Work on shift rotation
  • Can work under pressure
  • Able to do any task assigned by the superior (related to work)
  • High cooperation and able to understand all the company direction
  • Can follow rules and regulations of the company
