Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Technician role located in Penang, Malaysia. The Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems, conducting inspections to identify potential issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring all equipment meets safety and operational standards. Additionally, the Technician will collaborate with team members to ensure efficient work processes and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Job Objective/Description:
Having knowledge/experience of how to install, diagnose, fix, run, and maintain refrigerant systems and equipment's. Ensure systems properly maintained, operational, and functioning in compliance with the company's service criteria with full safety standard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for carry out preventative maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Repair faulty air conditioning and all refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure routine checks and servicing are carried out on the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and complete the requisite status logs.
- Troubleshoot air conditioning/refrigeration equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment. Complete logs detailing works carried out inclusive of parts utilized.
- Make recommendations to replace equipment, if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
- Perform regular cleaning of all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, inclusive of vents.
- Manage the safety of the air conditioning system at all areas.
- Routinely check offices to ensure that all the air condition vents and return vents are clean, well maintained and functioning satisfactory.
- Responsible for the verification of refrigeration and air conditioning spares purchased/supplied and ensure that they are securely stored.
- Requisition for materials required for the smooth operation of the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and ensure adequate materials are order avoiding excessive wastage.
- Create and maintain an ongoing inventory showing the number of air conditioning units, ice machines and other refrigeration equipment and their location.
- On an ongoing basis remain up to date on all new cooling products available in the market place, which the company can financially benefit from using.
- Collect and store all data for reports.
- As required provide relief support to the other positions in the company in cases of absence or work overload.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Management

Qualification
- Ordinary Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning with five (3) years experience or
- Sijil Kemahiran MLVK Tahap 2 or equivalent with (5) years experience.
- Or from any TVET institutional with hands on experience.
- Or from 100% hands on experience.
The successful candidate should also have a valid Motorcycle/Driving
Trusted, honesty, integrity and responsibility while carrying a job.
