Job Summary
As a Tech Delivery Manager at AEON Bank, you will lead the execution of our most critical digital banking products. Your primary focus (70%) is to drive end-to-end delivery for high-priority programs, ensuring they are high-quality, predictable, and aligned with our technical standards.
In addition to delivery, you will dedicate 30% of your time to partnering with the Tech PMO. In this capacity, you will define Agile governance standards and lead process improvements to raise the level of maturity across the entire Technology Division.
Job Responsibilities
1. Program Leadership & Strategic Delivery (70% Focus)
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead the full delivery lifecycle of complex digital banking projects, managing everything from initial scoping and resourcing to final deployment.
- Strategic Dependency Management: Proactively resolve blockers and negotiate dependencies across tech teams, business units, and external partners to keep delivery on track.
- Agile Coaching & Optimization: Mentor teams in Scrum and Kanban to improve velocity, ensuring delivery stays aligned with the product roadmap.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Communicate program health to senior leadership, managing expectations and negotiating scope changes with clarity and transparency.
- Risk Governance & Mitigation: Maintain a robust risk framework to identify and resolve regulatory, compliance, and security risks before they impact delivery.
2. Governance & Process Ownership (30% Focus)
- Process Definition & Enforcement: Drive the adoption of PMO standards across the portfolio, ensuring all teams follow consistent governance, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead initiatives to mature our delivery, such as optimizing Jira workflows, refining delivery templates, and standardizing Agile frameworks.
- Portfolio Reporting & Analysis: Analyze portfolio metrics and capacity to provide senior leadership with strategic insights on resource planning and long-term delivery trends.
- Regulatory Compliance: Set high standards for project artifacts (e.g., Technical Design Docs) to ensure every initiative meets the bank's strict audit and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 5–8 years in Technical Project or Program Management, including at least 2 years in a lead role within Fintech or Banking.
- Strategic Delivery Focus: A proven track record of leading complex, large-scale software programs from start to finish.
- Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of SDLC, APIs, microservices, and cloud (AWS/GCP), with the ability to discuss and challenge architectural solutions.
- Tooling Mastery: Expert-level Jira and Confluence skills, including building complex workflows and executive reporting dashboards.
- Agile Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or SAFe certification is a strong plus.
