Role Description The Technology Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kulim District. This position focuses on developing and optimizing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes for Embedded Multi Layer Core.. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating technology development projects, integrating new processes into existing production lines, and collaborating with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure robust implementation. The engineer performs detailed process and data analysis, supports root cause investigations, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives in yield, reliability, and efficiency. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, participating in cross-functional reviews, and supporting technology transfers within the global AT&S network.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Technology Development and Research and Development (R&D), with experience in bringing new processes or technologies from concept to production.
  • Practical experience in Process Integration, including coordinating cross-functional activities and ensuring compatibility of new processes with existing manufacturing flows.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, perform root cause analysis, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Academic background in Physics or a closely related field (e.g., Materials Science, Electrical Engineering) relevant to semiconductor, substrate, or PCB technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or science disciplines; experience in electronics manufacturing or semiconductor/substrate industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kulim District, collaborate effectively in multicultural teams, and communicate clearly in English (both written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma) is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative in driving projects to completion, and commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable resource use.
