About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to guide our development team in building scalable EdTech solutions. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, and ensure delivery of high-quality applications using Node.js, React / Next.js, and MySQL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor both frontend and backend engineers.

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions.

  • Define and enforce coding standards, code reviews, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into high-impact features.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous technical improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years as a Tech Lead or Senior Developer.

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React/Next.js.

  • Proven experience with MySQL (schema design, optimization, performance tuning).

  • Solid understanding of API design, Git workflows, and Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or other major cloud providers).

  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD.

  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.

  • Background in building EdTech or e-learning systems.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of overall software engineering experience.

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: Node.js, Java, or Python.

  • Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems.

  • Strong grasp of software design principles (e.g., SOLID).

  • Deep experience building applications on at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure).
