ROLE PURPOSE
• Ensure alignment of risk management process for RENTAS and FAST with the business objective of
Financial Markets Infrastructure Department (FMID)
• Ensure compliance of RENTAS and FAST participants operations and systems to be on par with
international standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practice
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Key responsibilities and tasks that the role performs)
1. Risk Management
• Conduct risk assessment and risk mitigation for RENTAS and FAST operations, including new and
existing enhancements, technical development and support units to ensure that all major risks are
identified and mitigated
• Execute Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) reviews and propose appropriate risk mitigation
methods
• Analyse data and information pertaining to risk of managing RENTAS and FAST operations and
prepare regular and timely reports to the Management and/or Risk Management Committee on the
outcome of risk management activities undertaken
• Assist in identifying improvements in current systems, policies and strategies and take actions to
mitigate all operational related risks andensure on-going update of risk manuals and other relevant
documentation for audit and inspection
2. Business Continuity Management (BCM)
• Implement and maintain business continuity plan for RENTAS and FAST operations to always
ensure continuity of operations.
• Conduct risk assessment and business impact analysis, co-ordinate consolidation of IT disaster
recovery plan report for risk management reporting and review business continuity and recovery
strategies

develop crisis, incident or emergency response procedures
3. Compliance
• Monitors and conduct periodic audit on RENTAS and FAST participants to ensure compliance of
RENTAS and FAST systems operations to
• meet the international FMI standards and requirements
• Provide reports on a quarterly basis, or as directed or requested, to keep the regulators informed
of the operation and progress of FMID
• compliance efforts and enforce surveillance role and impose disciplinary action on non-compliant
participantsTERHAD

Technical Competencies
• Product Knowledge – Demonstrate effective working knowledge and understanding of RENTAS
and Fast operations
• Project Management – Demonstrate ability to effectively apply knowledge of project management
for efficient execution and management of assigned tasks
• Good understanding of Crisis Management Plan, Emergency Response Procedure and Health
Pandemic Plan would be added advantageous
• Experience in handling end-to-end Business Continuity Plan activities from Risk Assessment to
Testing and Exercising in banking environment

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Risk Management, Information Technology, Business Administration or other related
discipline
• More than 5 years relevant experience in operational risk management and management/audit in
an IT related environment.
