About the Role

We are looking for a Telco / Cellular Engineer with moderate experience to support the implementation, integration, maintenance and troubleshooting of cellular and communication systems. The role will also involve supporting connectivity requirements for CCTV, IP surveillance, remote monitoring and other IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test and maintain cellular and telecommunication equipment.
Support the integration of 4G/5G cellular connectivity with CCTV, surveillance and remote monitoring systems.
Perform troubleshooting for network connectivity, SIM cards, routers, gateways, modems and related communication equipment.
Configure and maintain cellular routers, industrial gateways and wireless communication devices.
Conduct site surveys to assess signal coverage, connectivity and equipment installation requirements.
Monitor system performance and resolve connectivity or communication issues.
Support the installation and commissioning of IP-based CCTV and surveillance systems.
Work closely with Network Engineers, System Engineers and CCTV Specialists during project implementation.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for telecommunication and related IT equipment.
Prepare technical reports, test results, site reports and system documentation.
Coordinate with telecommunication service providers, vendors, contractors and clients when required.
Attend project sites and provide technical support during installation, testing and commissioning.
Ensure all works are carried out according to project specifications, technical standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Networking or related fields.
Minimum 2–4 years of relevant working experience in telecommunications, cellular networks, wireless communication or related fields.
Knowledge of 4G, 5G, LTE, cellular routers, gateways, modems and wireless communication systems.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing and network troubleshooting.
Experience in supporting IP-based systems, CCTV or surveillance systems will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with network equipment such as routers, switches and wireless devices.
Able to perform troubleshooting for both hardware and network connectivity issues.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a technical project team.
Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
Possess a valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
