Position Overview

Tencent Cloud is expanding its global infrastructure footprint, and were looking for passionate and curious minds to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Internship Program.

You will have the opportunity to convert to full-time employee upon your successful completion of your internship. Therefore, we plan to invite you to undertake the full-time internship in Shenzhen, China, where you will receive more mentorship from the seniors.

As an SRE Intern, youll be part of the team responsible for maintaining and optimizing Tencent Clouds IaaS/PaaS servicesincluding container platforms, databases, and key cloud components. Working alongside experienced SRE professionals, youll gain hands-on experience in system deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation. This is a unique opportunity to build foundational skills in cloud operations while contributing to the stability and scalability of Tencent Clouds international services.

Responsibilities:

• Support the operation and maintenance of IaaS/PaaS components, including containers and databases.
• Participate in deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of cloud infrastructure in overseas regions.
• Assist in identifying and resolving system issues, working with cross-functional teams to ensure service reliability.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science or a related field, graduating in 2026.
• Available for 3 months of full-time internship.
• Strong interest in cloud computing and SRE practices.
• Proficient in Linux operating systems and familiar with Java development.
• Good understanding of at least one type of database (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Effective communication skills in English and Chinese Mandarin to liaise with technical teams and stakeholders across the globe. Bahasa Melayu is a bonus point.
• Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Cloud certifications or prior cloud operations experience are a plus but not required.
