Job Purpose
- Achievement of the sales target and growth for Malaysia, as determined by the company.
- Monitor distributors/ customers monthly Sales performance, recommend and implement appropriate actions plans for sales target achievement.
- Identify and penetrate Key Strategies End-Users, to secure the accounts and create the new sales opportunities directly or through distributors.
- Execute Key Strategic Growth Initiatives as determined by the company and achieved company set growth target
Key Accountabilities
- Full responsibility in achieving sales and profit targets for the assigned sales territory / customers / product range.
- Identify and understand end user application needs, convert them into opportunities, quotation and finally sales.
- Identify and develop local key accounts and follow up on global strategic accounts by sales area and market segment.
- Identify and develop distribution channels for designated products and markets, as appropriate.
- Closely communicate with regional / worldwide application engineering, seek regular support and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure proper documentation of success stories by markets and application, in cooperation with Product Management Manager.
- Provide adequate activity planning and reporting supported by the Donaldson CRM system.
- Observe trends on applications and new technologies in our target markets.
- Derive product and development recommendations in close communication with our R&D facilities.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in Engineering or business.
Technical Competence & Skills:
- Project management experience preferred.
- Working experience in Heavy equipment industry
- Work with/on Diesel Engine in past working experience
- Experienced using a CRM system to manage customers will be a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), with intermediate to advance proficiency in Excel.
- Strong sales aptitude with excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills.
- Strong technical and mathematical capabilities
- Possess self-directed ability to multi-task and prioritize customer needs.
- Experience in the effective use of CRM software
- Self-motivated, good sense of initiative, willing to learn, solution-oriented and able to work in a fast pace environment.
- Eager to learn, quick comprehension
- Potential leadership skills
- Able to work under pressure.
Relevant Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of technical/industrial sales experience.
- Filtration experience preferred but not a must. (Heavy Equipment Industry)
Others (% of travel, language, etc.):
- Experienced working in a team environment.
- Good English communication (both written and spoken)
- Regular travel in the territory and the ability to work in industrial, construction, mining environments.
