Test Analyst

Job Overview

We are looking for a Test Analyst with strong manual testing experience to support banking and financial services applications. The candidate will be responsible for test planning, test execution, defect management, and ensuring applications meet business and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios and test conditions.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts and test data.
• Perform manual functional, integration, system and regression testing.
• Execute test cases and document test results clearly.
• Identify, log, track and retest defects using tools such as Jira
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners and business users to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate in UAT/SIT, defect triage and production verification activities.
• Perform impact analysis and regression testing for application enhancements and fixes.
• Ensure testing activities are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare testing status reports and communicate testing progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
• Support release and deployment activities where required.

Banking / Financial Domain Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas would be preferred:

• Retail Banking
• Corporate / Commercial Banking
• Payments
• Cards
• Loans / Lending
• Deposits
• Internet / Mobile Banking
• Core Banking
• AML / KYC
• Digital Banking
• Transaction processing

Key Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in Software Testing / Test Analyst / QA.
• Mandarin and Cantonese Spoken is a MUST
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience preparing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Jira, HP ALM or equivalent testing tools.
• Good understanding of SIT, UAT, regression and functional testing.
• Basic understanding of SQL/database testing would be an advantage.
• Banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced banking environment and manage multiple testing activities.
