Key Responsibilities
Test Development & Implementation
- Develop, debug, and maintain test solutions for SMT PCBAs and Box Build assemblies, including ICT, FCT, system-level and functional tests.
- Define test strategies, test coverage, and acceptance criteria based on customer and product requirements.
- Support test readiness for NPI, pilot runs, and mass production.
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Provide on-site test engineering support to resolve production test failures and yield issues.
- Analyze test data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Production, Process, Quality, and PE teams to improve first-pass yield (FPY).
Equipment & Documentation
- Specify, set up, and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and jigs.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation such as test procedures, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure test processes comply with internal standards and customer requirements.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support failure analysis and corrective action activities (8D, CAPA).
- Drive test optimization to reduce test time, cost, and defect escape.
- Participate in customer audits, technical discussions, and test-related reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 25 years of Test Engineering experience in EMS manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on experience in SMT and Box Build environments.
- Exposure to high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing is an advantage.
- Experience with ICT, FCT, functional and system-level testing.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes and Box Build assembly.
- Familiarity with test equipment, fixtures, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and technical drawings.
