Test Planning and Management
Understand testing requirements to meet Business Units expectations
Develop UAT test plan with Project Manager & Testers create the test plan with details of
scope, timeline, approach, etc
Develop test cases with Project Manager & Testers Design test cases based on the
documentation provided (i.e. functional spec/mapping doc) including detailed input and
expected outcome covering functional flows across for in scope applications
Responsible for managing overall User Acceptance Test (UAT) planning, designing and end-to-end test processing
Devise and socialize a Test Strategy which will define the overall test approach
Responsible for day-to-day testing activities and ownership of deliverables and test resources
Manage key testing deliverables including detailed test plans, test schedules, test scenarios,
test cases and scripts with traceability to requirements
Perform test analysis to ensure that business requirements are met and suitable test
processes are in place to verify and validate them
Identify the test coverage of the scripts and prioritize them understanding the business impact
Responsible for management of test results and analysis as well as defect management
Development of clear and concise test status reports to key stakeholders and Senior
Management
Expert quality assurance of the testing methodology in order to maintain the integrity of entry
and exit of test phases
Provide best of breed test automation solutions where applicable, particularly for regression
testing
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Adhere to AFFIN's process and procedures relating to the work being assigned i.e. Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Change Management Procedure, etc.
Work closely with the Project Manager, Business Users, relevant IT support teams and other
stakeholders involved in the project to ensure successful end-to-end project implementation
Any other assignments or task assigned by supervisor as and when required inclusive of
support on system enhancement, product & process improvement etc. by participating in
projects/initiatives, training, roll outs and reviews.
Adhere to AFFIN's process and procedures relating to the work being assigned
Qualifications & Experience
1) Degree Holder in Banking, Business, Computer Science or any related field
2) Preferably minimum 4-year experience in Testing Management skills
3) Preferably with sound knowledge of banking products & services
4) Core banking experience preference for experience with Mortgage, Credit Card, Loan
Origination, Auto Finance, Multi Currency Account and Retail Overdraft
Skills & Knowledge
1) Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and best practices
2) Familiar with BNM Guidelines is an advantage
3) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
4) Good interpersonal skills to deal with other business units and maintain effective working
relationships with fellow colleagues
