Develop the overall commissioning strategy, execution plans, Commissioning Management Plan (CMP), schedules, and resource requirements.
Establish commissioning milestones aligned with the master project schedule.
Define system boundaries and prepare detailed commissioning system breakdowns.
Chair commissioning meetings, monitor progress, and coordinate activities across internal departments, vendor specialists, and operations teams.
Review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, vendor manuals, FAT reports, and SAT procedures.
Prepare and draft commissioning methodologies, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements, ensuring all are approved prior to execution.
Verify that all engineering design changes are fully incorporated into drawings and system setups before testing begins.
Compile comprehensive commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and handover documentation.
Lead and supervise all pre-commissioning, installation verification, and commissioning activities for switchgear panels, metal-clad switchgear, cabling, terminations, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, high-potential (Hi-Pot), functional, and loop-check testing in strict compliance with IEC standards.
Conduct specialized protection relay testing, including primary/secondary injection, CT/VT testing, and G59/G99 grid compliance testing.
Supervise vendor specialists during equipment setup and system calibration.
Execute system energization, synchronization, interlocking logic checks, and integrated operational testing.
Troubleshoot and rectify complex technical faults in switchgear, control wiring, and protection schemes.
Manage progressive system-by-system completion for formal handover to the client or operations team.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
