We are looking for a T&C Engineer to join our team. The candidate shall be detail-oriented, socially adaptive and a quick learner.
Responsibilities:
1) Leadership & Planning
- Leadership: Lead and supervise a team (10 each project) of testing & commissioning crew consisting of in-house engineers, technicians and OEM representatives.
- Planning: Develop & execute comprehensive testing & commissioning plans. Define & coordinate testing procedures & protocols for all equipment
2) Testing & Commissioning Execution
- Lead the I-V curve tracing crew with proper testing procedures.
- Lead the OEM representatives on pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, and hot commissioning checks to ensure compliance with proper procedures.
- Perform hands-on testing and commissioning of the SCADA, PPC, EMS,
- Communication system and other electrical systems.
- Perform PV contractual performance, and acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during testing and commissioning.
- Analyze test data, generate reports and document findings.
3) Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
- Enforce safe work practices and conduct pre & post work safety briefings.
4) Quality Assurance
- Verify the quality of workmanship and materials during the Erection Completion walkdown handover from the construction teams.
- Verify the testing reports from the subcontractors are in accordance with the project and local grid requirements.
- Ensure all systems are commissioned in accordance with project specifications.
5) Communication & Reporting
- Communicate effectively with Local grid authorities, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare regular progress updates and reports to project management.
- Maintain accurate records of testing and commissioning activities.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- Academic degree in engineering (Preferable in Electrical or Power Systems).
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience - Commissioning Engineer.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical principles and power systems.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and data analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes for Malaysia, Philippines and Australia / New Zealand.
Other Skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent in English, and Malay (Written & Verbal).
- High level of computer literacy & competency in Google Workspace - Sheets, Docs & Slides (or Microsoft equivalent)
- Willingness to travel/relocate (if required)
- Excellent networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
