Tooling Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with Tool Design and Tool Assembly teams during tool trials and production stages to improve tooling performance and manufacturing efficiency.
2. Review First Article samples and evaluate product quality, identifying areas for improvement and corrective actions.
3. Ensure tooling projects are completed on time and meet customer requirements and quality standards.
4. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during tool assembly, testing, and production activities.
5. Liaise with customers on tooling-related technical matters and project updates.
6. Support R&D and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool performance and product quality.
7. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project schedules and deliverables.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and production issues.
9. Maintain project documentation and engineering records.
10. Contribute to process improvement and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Tool Room environment.
3. Experience in metal stamping, metal fabrication, or plastic injection tooling preferred.
4. Knowledge of tool making and metal fabrication is an added advantage.
5. Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
6. Good communication skills in English.
7. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is preferred.
8. Positive attitude, integrity, and strong teamwork skills.
