Job Description

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing AI infrastructure and server solutions provider, to hire a Trade Compliance Program Manager. This role will lead strategic trade compliance, export control governance, and the implementation of the company's Internal Compliance Program (ICP), supporting the global delivery of AI-optimised server and data centre solutions.

About the Role

The Challenge Lead the establishment of the company's Internal Compliance Program (ICP) under Malaysia's Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA), ensuring export compliance while enabling a transition from single-use permits to Bulk and Multiple-Use Export Permits.

The Opportunity

Take ownership as the nominated compliance lead, working closely with MITI Strategic Trade Secretariat (STS), driving regulatory excellence, strengthening customer due diligence processes, and supporting the secure export of cutting-edge AI server technologies.

What You Will Do

  • Build, register, and manage the company's Internal Compliance Program (ICP) while serving as the primary liaison with MITI STS for audits, permit approvals, and regulatory matters.
  • Oversee eSTA permit applications through DagangNet and ensure compliant export declarations for strategic trade shipments.
  • Develop and maintain customer screening, KYC, end-user validation, and export due diligence frameworks.
  • Conduct pre-sales and post-sales site inspections, verifying customer facilities and deployment locations while maintaining complete audit records.
  • Drive internal governance through compliance audits, record retention, and export control training across the organisation.

Who We Are Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in trade compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of Malaysia's Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA), MITI STS requirements, and ICP registration.
  • Experience using DagangNet (eSTA/ePermit) for strategic trade filings.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for customer site inspections and compliance verification.
  • Familiarity with AI servers, NVIDIA GPU systems, or dual-use technology classifications.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and documentation capabilities.

  • Fluent in English with confident presentation skills.
