Position: Trade Marketing Executive

Role Overview
The Trade Marketing Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing trade marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, drive sell-out performance, and strengthen retailer engagement. This role provides critical executional support to the Brand and Marketing teams, allowing them to focus on long-term brand building, business growth, and strategic planning.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Activations & In-Store Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute trade activations, roadshows, in-store events, and promotional campaigns across retail channels.
- Ensure all activations are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with sales teams and retail partners to maximize campaign effectiveness and shopper engagement.
POSM Management
- Manage the end-to-end development, production, inventory, and deployment of Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM), including displays, testers, signage, and promotional materials.
- Ensure timely distribution and installation of POSM to support product launches and promotional activities.
- Monitor POSM utilization and recommend improvements for effectiveness and cost efficiency.
Retailer Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate retailer marketing campaigns, promotional listings, digital postings, and merchandising opportunities.
- Work closely with retail partners to ensure marketing commitments are executed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain strong relationships with key retailer contacts to facilitate smooth campaign implementation.
Sales & Promotional Support
- Partner with the sales team to plan and execute sell-out initiatives, promotional activities, and seasonal campaigns.
- Support the implementation of channel-specific marketing programs that drive consumer purchase and retail performance.
- Assist in preparing promotional mechanics, campaign materials, and execution plans.
Market & Competitor Monitoring
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, product launches, and in-store visibility.
- Conduct regular market visits and provide timely insights and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
- Track retail execution standards and identify opportunities to improve brand presence.
Brand Campaign & Product Launch Support
- Support the execution of integrated brand campaigns and new product launches within trade channels.
- Coordinate launch materials, retailer communications, promotional timelines, and activation readiness.
- Ensure consistent brand presentation across all customer touchpoints.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor activation performance using predefined KPIs and prepare post-campaign evaluation reports.
- Analyse campaign results, gather feedback from sales teams and retailers, and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing expenditures, campaign outcomes, and promotional assets.
Vendor & Agency Management
- Liaise with external vendors, event organizers, promoters, production houses, and creative agencies to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Manage quotations, timelines, and execution standards while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Coordinate promoter briefing, scheduling, and performance monitoring during activations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in trade marketing, marketing execution, sales support, or brand activation, preferably within FMCG, beauty, personal care, or consumer products.
- Experience coordinating retail promotions, POSM production, and event execution is an advantage.
- Familiarity with retailer marketing practices and in-store merchandising principles.
