Trade Marketing Manager – Confectionery Division
Backed by the strength of Pet World Group, our Chocolate & Confectionery subsidiary is expanding rapidly across local and international markets. We are seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to support the COO in driving brand growth, market expansion, and channel development. The ideal candidate should possess strong networks within the Food & FMCG industry, particularly in chocolates, confectionery, snacks, and related consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence and achieve sales targets across all company brands.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, modern trade chains, convenience stores, food service operators, and key accounts.
- Leverage industry networks to identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion opportunities.
- Lead and execute trade promotions, product launches, in-store activations, merchandising, and BTL campaigns.
- Manage and participate in local and international food exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Export teams to drive business growth.
- Develop Malaysia market coverage through regular visits to distributors, wholesalers, resellers, and key accounts nationwide.
- Support export market development and establish new distribution channels in international markets.
- Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, competitor activities, and industry developments within the chocolate, confectionery, and FMCG sectors.
- Manage trade marketing budgets effectively to maximize return on investment.
- Oversee the development and production of marketing materials, POSM, catalogues, promotional items, and brand communication tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Brand Management, Sales & Marketing, or Business Development within the Chocolate, Confectionery, Food Manufacturing, or FMCG industry.
- Strong network with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, modern trade buyers, and key accounts within the food industry.
- Proven experience in brand-building, channel development, trade activation, and market expansion.
- Experience managing local and international exhibitions, export markets, and distributor networks.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
