About The Role

The Manager, HNW Activation is responsible for driving the commercial success of High Net Worth (HNW) propositions through targeted activation strategies, distributor engagement, and effective sales enablement.

This role works closely with Product, Distribution, and Sales teams to monitor product performance, translate insights into actionable activation plans, and deliver impactful marketing and sales tools. The objective is to enhance distributor adoption, strengthen market competitiveness, and achieve targeted sales outcomes for HNW products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Product Activation & Sales Performance

  • Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to monitor product performance and develop activation strategies to achieve targeted sales outcomes.
  • Design and implement activation programs, campaigns, and initiatives to drive product uptake across key distribution channels.

2. Distributor Engagement & Support

  • Engage distributors, life planners, and bank partners to gather on-ground feedback, understand customer needs, and identify sales opportunities.
  • Conduct focus group discussions and regular engagement sessions to refine product positioning and sales approach.
  • Ensure strong alignment and buy-in from distributors on product propositions and supporting materials.

3. Marketing & Sales Tools Development

  • Develop high-quality, effective marketing content and sales enablement tools to support product promotion.
  • Continuously improve marketing materials and sales tools in partnership with Product & Sales team to enhance effectiveness and usability.

4. Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Build and manage strong relationships with key collaborators, including distribution channels, life planners, and bank partners.
  • Gather structured feedback to support product agreements, enhancements, and activation strategies.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders to execute key initiatives.

5. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Capture market intelligence and monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities.
  • Perform competitive analysis and translate insights into relevant product positioning and sales narratives.
  • Develop and share market insights and product materials with distribution teams to strengthen sales effectiveness.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education – Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or related discipline.
  • Experience – Manager: Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in insurance product, marketing, or distribution. / Senior Manager: Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to HNW or affluent segment.
  • Special skills – Good command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken); Strong understanding of insurance products, distribution channels, and sales dynamics; Proven experience in stakeholder management, activation planning, and marketing execution; Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills.
