Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Trainer & Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting the Cloud project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our team members by providing comprehensive training, coaching, and enablement. Beyond traditional training responsibilities, this individual will be the primary resource for managing team member access and provisioning necessary tools, ensuring a seamless and efficient operational environment.
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
The Technical Trainer & Onboarding Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of team enablement, from initial onboarding to continuous skill development and operational readiness.
1. Training and Development
- Design and Deliver Training Programs: Develop, maintain, and execute high-quality training curriculum, materials, and sessions for new hires and existing team members specific (e.g., project objectives, technical processes, troubleshooting, platform updates).
- New Hire Onboarding: Conduct structured, engaging onboarding sessions, providing hands-on coaching and mentorship to quickly integrate new team members into the project workflow.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, iterating on content and delivery methods to meet evolving project needs.
- Knowledge Base Management: Create and maintain a centralized, up-to-date knowledge base, documentation, and training resources accessible to the entire team.
2. Access and Tools Provisioning
- Access Management: Manage the request, approval, and provisioning/de-provisioning of necessary system access, accounts, and permissions for all team members
- Tool Enablement: Ensure all team members have the correct hardware, software, and tools configured and ready for their role, troubleshooting initial setup issues as needed.
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain an accurate tracker of team member access and tool assignments, ensuring compliance with security and operational policies.
- Vendor/IT Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and internal IT or external vendors for access and tool-related escalations and resolutions.
3. Coaching and Enablement
- Performance Support: Provide one-on-one and small group coaching to address specific skill gaps and drive performance improvements.
- Process Documentation: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to document project workflows, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Project Readiness: Conduct readiness assessments and sign-offs to ensure team members are fully enabled and prepared before engaging in project tasks.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical training, corporate learning, or enablement role, preferably within a technology or IT environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of any cloud based products
- Instructional Design: Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging training content for both in-person and virtual settings.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a high degree of attention to detail, particularly in managing access, inventory, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CPLP, ATD, or other relevant training/coaching certifications.
- Project Experience: Direct experience supporting large-scale technical projects or deployments.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with ticket tracking systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) for managing access requests and troubleshooting issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information for a non-technical audience.
