Operate and maintain a 5-ton or 10-ton lorry in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations.
Transport plastic materials and refined products between the company&aposs Nilai facility and designated locations, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Load and unload materials, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage or shifting during transit, and verify the accuracy of the load against shipping documents.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs, and submit reports to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs.
Perform minor maintenance tasks on the lorry, such as changing light bulbs or wiper blades, and coordinate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs.
Job Requirements
Possess a valid GDL Class E driving license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating 5-ton or 10-ton lorries.
Proficient in Mandarin to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Familiarity with routes in and around Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and other areas as required.
Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
Adherence to all traffic laws and company safety regulations to ensure safe and responsible driving.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet delivery schedules and operational demands.
