Purpose Statement
Boston Scientific (BSC) APAC is seeking out a highly driven and detail-oriented UI Designer Associate, APAC with a strong background in mobile and desktop user interface design, and digital user experience to design BSCs digital platforms and effectively advance the Digital Commercial Excellence teams communication strategy across the APAC region.

You have a strong aesthetic sense, and the ability to express your design flair within the BSC design guidelines.
The Opportunity: With guidance from Senior Digital Producers, Platform Product Owners, and senior capability team members, you will play a crucial role in UI design creation and adaptation, ensuring exceptional standards of BSCs look and feel across various mediums and be responsible for cross-functional team collaborations to materialize ideas, from concept to execution. You will also visually craft digital assets for stakeholder alignment, UI assets for the development team, and contribute towards an ever-evolving user experience for both internal and external users.
This position will be based out of Malaysia but will cover the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of user interfaces for various digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and other digital products with guidance from senior members of your team
Collaborate with UX designers, developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and visually appealing UI designs
Manage project execution timelines, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within the allocated resource budget
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
Develop and maintain design documentation, including wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes
Ensure all digital products adhere to brand guidelines and design standards
Stay up to date with the latest UI design trends, tools, and technologies
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on project status
Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the development process
Optimize existing user interfaces for better performance and user engagement
Key Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Design, Computer Science, or in a related field
5+ years of experience in UI design and digital production
Strong experience in mobile application UI development
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma (or similar tools)
Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Proven success as part of a cross-functional team working in/with a multi-cultural work environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense
Experience with user research and usability testing
Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset towards complex challenges
Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
Working knowledge of Motion graphics and associated platforms such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Premiere Pro
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Fluency in Mandarin
