UiPath Platform & Automation Operations Specialist

Role Purpose

Ensure the stability, security, and operational reliability of the UiPath Automation Cloud platform and on-prem infrastructure supporting unattended automation. This is not a developer role, but a platform & infrastructure operations role within the RPA COE.

Key Responsibilities

1. RPA Infrastructure & VM Management (On-Prem)

• Manage Windows Servers hosting unattended robots (build, patching, hardening, upgrades, decommissioning)

• Monitor robot capacity, performance, and availability

• Troubleshoot OS, connectivity, authentication, and execution issues

• Coordinate with Infrastructure/Security teams on patches and policies

2. UiPath Automation Cloud Administration

• Handle org/tenant-level admin: users, groups, roles, licenses, environments

• Optimize license allocation (group-based)

• Monitor platform health and respond to incidents

3. Robot & Orchestrator Operations

• Manage unattended robot accounts, machines, runtimes

• Maintain folder structures, permissions, access control

• Support deployments, schedules, queues, assets, credentials

• Perform first-level job failure investigation

4. L1/L2 Operational Support (COE-Owned Automations)

• Front-line support for selected automations

• Triage incidents, conduct root cause analysis, resolve recurring issues

• Collaborate with developers when code changes are needed

• Maintain operational runbooks and support documentation

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a full-time automation developer

• Not responsible for process design or large-scale solution architecture

Required

• Strong hands-on experience with UiPath Automation Cloud & Orchestrator admin

• Solid Windows Server / VM infrastructure background

• Experience supporting unattended automation environments

• Comfortable in L1/L2 platform operations roles

• Experience working with or within an RPA COE

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting high-volume unattended automation

• Familiarity with enterprise security and access control models

• Monitoring, capacity planning, or runbook-driven operations experience

• Previous contractor experience in platform/production support
