About The Role
- Responsible in handling email management for medical underwriting and billing in an efficient and effective manner and contribute directly and indirectly to achieve the overall objectives of the Division KPI.
- Governance, Compliance, Risk and Audit Management for the Department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle and resolve enquiries related to medical underwriting and billing related matters in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing correspondences is properly track, prioritized, and responded to according to company policies, confidentiality standards, and within turn- around time.
- Liaise with underwriting teams, intermediaries or clients to clarify/provide explanations on underwriting outcomes/requirement.
- Liaise with clinics/hospitals on medical underwriting requirements.
- Support Corporate Solutions Sales Team to visit and provide explanation to high-profile Corporate Solutions Sale clients top-management / management staff on medical underwriting requirement
- Escalation and complaint management with respective stakeholders.
- Monitor enquiry trends to provide feedback and identify process improvement opportunity.
- Participate, contribute ideas and perform user acceptance testing in project / process improvements initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Governance, Compliance, Risk and Audit Management:
- Ensure compliance control and governance are in place.
- Roll down regulatory/AIA guidelines requirements that impact operations.
- Liaison, coordinate and consolidate feedback related to regulators/AIA guidelines to/from Compliance/Legal/CS/Auditor (internal/external) /Enterprise Risk Management for submission/documentation/implementation.
- Prepare and maintain compliance/governance related manuals/guidelines.
- Compile / submit compliance, regulatory and management reporting (internal / external).
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Degree in related fields, preferably biomedical science or nursing
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in medical underwriting within the insurance industry
- Attention to details and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word at an intermediate level
