About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Unit Head to join our Management Reporting & Trade Operations team at RHB Asset Management. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance functions, ensuring accurate and timely execution of accounting processes, regulatory reporting, and system enhancements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, front office, and compliance teams, to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee Accounts Receivable functions and manage Accounts Payable for non-trade expenses not covered by the Ee Puay team
- Prepare and maintain non-trade schedules, including Sundry Creditors, Management Fees, Investment Manager Fees, and other accruals
- Perform daily Manager Bank Reconciliations and monitor FX balances, coordinating foreign exchange transactions with the Front Office team
- Prepare monthly agent and IUTA commission payments
- Handle finance-related matters in i-Proc and CPS systems
- Prepare key expense analysis to support management review and decision-making
- Prepare monthly Sales Charge schedules and closing stock schedules
- Monitor e-Invoicing and Service Tax status for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Lead system implementation and enhancement initiatives, including bank reconciliation automation, e-Invoicing, and Service Tax projects
- Prepare and review month-end closing schedules
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial reporting to Group Finance
- Develop financial presentation decks for the Board of Directors
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Securities Commission, FiMM, and other relevant bodies across required timelines
- Prepare monthly compliance and risk reporting
- Perform e-Invoice and Service Tax reconciliations (monthly and bi-monthly)
- Draft audited financial statements, manage MBRS submissions, and liaise with auditors on schedules
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, or asset management industry
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end finance processes including reconciliations, reporting, and compliance
- Good planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Driven and passionate professional with strong ownership and accountability
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in Malaysia, including reporting to Securities Commission and FiMM
- Experience in system implementation or process improvement initiatives is an added advantage
