Unix Engineer

Job Descriptions

• Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving the escalated incident in Linux/Unix Server platforms
• Escalated the case to the L3 Infrastructure/application team if needed
• Perform the regular server operations such as setup, upgrade, patches deployment, monitoring and health checks, backup and restore, etc.
• Responsible for system troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Providing support on issues related to servers and storage
• Liaise with external vendors for IT Server operations and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related discipline;
• A holder of ITIL Foundation or above is a plus
• >2 years relevant working experience in Linux Servers, VMware, x86 servers, and storage
• Sizeable company and ITIL experience are preferable
• Self-motivated, quick learner, Can-do attitude, and able to work under pressure
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and Cantonese is a plus
• Knowing AIX/HPUX/Solaris is a plus
• Willing to work night shift & and on public holidays
